Cheeky Media has been delivering world-class content since 2014. Cheeky Studios is the scripted side, and we went global from day one. Same craft. Different product.

We used to focus solely on traditional media: invent a show, find a sponsor, chase a slot. That world got weird. Audiences moved. Money followed. We didn't lose the ability to make excellent work — we stopped pretending the timeslot was the business.

So we rebuilt around a simpler obsession: audience first.

Then the idea. Then the make. Then the cut for every place those humans already are, including TV and every other platform known to man.

  1. 2014Cheeky opens. Everyone says it can't be done. Noted.
  2. 2018The Morning Show for e.tv, through to 2025. Daily, national, live, from our floor in Houghton Estate.
  3. 2020African Bank: a full multimedia campaign. TV commercials, logo animations, bespoke music, YouTube cutdowns.
  4. 2020FNB SyncTV: weekly internal TV for the FirstRand Group. Still running.
  5. 2023Revelations: a soapie pilot for e.tv and Vodacom's streaming service. Plus a TV commercial for Expand in three lengths.
  6. 2024Cop & A Half, our first feature. Action-comedy, co-funded by the DTI. On Amazon Prime.

Proof of work. Audience first.

Level 1 B-BBEE. Black-owned and managed. We also incubate The Exponential Company, a 100% Black female-owned production company that's worked alongside us for more than five years. Good engines build other engines.
